Many women in Gacurabwenge sector Kamonyi District still have problems with getting guarantee to be able to acquire loans so they can be able to work and develop themselves.
Many of them said that they mainly do farming, and therefore this requires them to get formed in groups so they can be able to get loans and therefore earn more from their jobs.
However, these women say that they do not find such loans more helpful for them to quick develop, since the money given to them sometimes is very little.
“If we are to achieve quick development, we need more help so that we can do some other work rather than farming”, said Beline Muhorakeye.
She added on saying that the loans they get as a group are not enough to do such giving an example of the RWF 30.000 or 60000 which cannot carry out developed business now.
Women complained about their husbands who sometime do not want them to go for loans from banks and therefore cannot give them any guarantee to be able to get such.
The coordinator of the National women’s council in Gacurabwenge sector Rose Marie Bihoyiki explained to them how they can get such guarantee were she said the can get formed under groups.
She advised them to work with the collateral fund group which will help them be able to get guarantee and therefore be able to acquire loans.
